Another day Living the Dream.  We've been hitting the pool pretty much every day for several hours.  Though that water is at 90 deg, with 100deg outside temps, actually feels a notch cool; crazy! Funny .... I stated August 8th .. yesterday.  Whoops .. ..  hey .. felt like the weekend still!     God Bless Texas!

This probably isn't what you were expecting.   Read something this morning that well.. .had me laughing and reminded me, how the average person on FB ... just ain't paying attention Here's a scenario.  I manage multiple FB pages and multiple FB groups.  One of the simplest things people do on FB is 'share' from another source.  Lets say I see something on John Shope's Dirty Bird page referencing one of his products. I then share it off to the group or page so others learn about it; become aware of it.   What happens next?  "Hey, will that fit my '14 Chief?"   or ..  "do you give military discount?"   Now, most with a brain realize it's shared onto the page, from the originating page.  The originating source is where you ask the question of the manufacturer!    Yes.. there might be a fellow rider that also has that product and can answer it if one is lucky.  But the point is...  the commenter doesn't even realize ...

2020 .. what a mess, huh?   The IIRA Reunion was scheduled for last month in Lebanon, MO but due to all the Wuhan Virus crap ....  got pushed out six weeks.  Donnie Donihue had put together a memorial ride for Longrider and a few dozen of us were rolling in for it so the IIRA moved the location of the reunion to Russellville to coincide.  Works for me. As the date gets closer, I've got the itch to just jump on the bike and head out.  Brother Dick is on a relaxed schedule as he enjoys retirement, so he came down to Arkansas few days prior to hang out in Hot Springs with Donnie.  Others from MN are rolling into Russellville.  Frankie has rolled up from here in Greenville well in advance to Hot Springs.  And here I sat .. waiting.   To make things worse, the weather is screwing with us mid week.  So the question becomes... ride or trailer?  I've been planning ... looking forward  .. to the ride, but mother nature has me ...

I've owned Jeeps since 1986, almost as long as motorcycles.   Those two entities have been part of my life for almost 2/3rds of my time on this planet, so I get a lil' passionate about both subjects. The previous two years, we did Jeep Topless Weekend down on the coats here in Texas.  As I've blogged about previously, it's morphed into a reckless party of thugs from Houston in my opinion.  Lots of Jeeps .. but... not what it started out as. I swore 'no more' and didn't attend this year (it was officially canceled due to COVID, but still went down).   However last year, my nephew down in Mississippi asked us to attend JTC (Jeeping The Coast) but we pushed back. After seeing the pics and stories afterwards, I committed to this years.   With all the Wuhan Virus BS causing cancellations we were concerned.    Ten days or so prior, we realized we had good reason to be.  The local city sponsoring it, pulled the plug. That means vendor...

I tend to mix words often with folks on social media. However, I prefer Face to Face debates; much more interesting.  First, when in person most normally stay calm since ...    either are at risk of getting the shit kicked out of them if they cross the line?  Seriously ... when having a debate face to face, people tend to be a notch cordial, though possibly "passionate" sometimes.  But you have the advantage of eye contact.   Body language.   And, folks have to discuss what they know, not what they search for at their fingertips to validate their points.  I may not 'win' all debates, but ...  they normally go well. However on Social Media, that's another beast.  I tend to drop a lot of one liners on news posts.  Replies to comments.  You name it, I'm guilty.   I'll go back and forth a few times then.. maybe even push buttons with a comment or meme .. but then ...  I move on.  If the person goe...
