The Mask Dilemma

I don’t really know WHY OSHA hasn’t come forward and stopped the nonsense BUT I wanna cover 3 things • N95 masks and masks with exhale ports • surgical masks • filter or cloth masks Okay so upon further inspection OSHA says some masks are okay and not okay in certain situations. If you’re working with fumes and aerosol chemicals and you give your employees the wrong masks and they get sick you can be sued. • N95 masks: are designed for CONTAMINATED environments. That means when you exhale through N95 the design is that you are exhaling into contamination. The exhale from N95 masks are vented to breath straight out without filtration. They don’t filter the air on the way out. They don’t need to. Conclusion: if you’re in Stewart’s and the guy with Covid has N95 mask his covid breath is unfiltered being exhaled into Stewart’s (because it was designed for already contaminated environments, it’s not filtering your air on the way out) • Surgical Mask: these masks were designed and approved

The Art of the Shave : Part II

Over a year ago, I wrote about my experiences shaving , mainly due to my joining the Dollar Shaving Club.  Well, a few things have changed since then. First ... screw DSC.  After all the BLM BS began again recently, they as did many other companies, decided to 'take a stand' and send out their support to their customers.  Well, in this case ex-customer.  I have no desire to do business with ass kissing race baiting companies.  I don't care whether they agree with it all or if its' just a CYA motion... I'm done with them. Lots of other options out there.  I did like a couple of their products .. but...   screw 'em. Secondly, when the pandemic hit my hair began to grow out. I've trimmed my flat top over the years, but that was just to keep it in check until I could get to the barber shop.   As it grew longer, I had a decision to make.  Grow it out or .. back to a crew cut.  But since I wasn't 'out n' about'  at meetings, etc...   I chose to ta

Well .. . the old 7x14 has a new owner.   The 8x20's new owner has been found and will have it next month.    And, found the new one Tim Neid was the first down this path.   I think he got a single axle 6x12 last year.  It's all aluminum construction and light weight caught my attention.  I remember getting sticker shock though when I heard the specifics.   Then late last year, Brother Dick picked up a similar one, but in a 7.5 x 14" size.  Again, the cost had me scratching my head ... but you get what you pay for.    Well, here I am a year later,   doing the same thing.   Going with the 7.5" width this time around since that 7x14 I had .. always felt just a notch tight.  One crazy bump and a brake or clutch lever might 'touch' the inside wall with 2 big bikes in there.  And I've had to replace the levers in the past for this.   But that extra 6" gives just enough extra room for that problem to go away. And you you have more room down low since there
