Gregory Indian 500+ Update
Here we are going into July with just three more months to go until the biggest Indian Motorcycle Rally in the USA this year.
As I'd mentioned before at the core of it is the Gregory's Indian 500+ ; a Guinness record ride for most Indian Motorcycles in a Parade. The current record is 274. An attempt was made last August in Racine and last month up north, both having less than 200 bikes. Well, the record is about to be Krushed with over 275 bikes now registered with 90 days to go. Momentum is now kicking up so the question now is , how big will this be? I'm guessing at least 400 but I've got a feeling this may actually surpass 500 bikes . Last month in Europe they had between 400 to 500 bikes that would have set the bar high but opted not to go through the process (this process has a level of BS one has to do to make it official). Well, the folks are doing this October ride by the book this year after the last two records were recorded with numerous idiosyncrasies in the method of counting. This time, folks have to provide proof of registration, insurance, etc to ensure this record is 100% valid, which it will be.
Now, here's the real kicker and I've said it before. The 500+ ride is simply the icing on the cake. The real story is what an awesome weekend it's going to be. The riding in this part of the country is some of the best. The Iron Indian Riders ((IIRA) are bringing in upwards of 100 folks for the Tri State in the Springs regional rally. Local folks are hosting their 6th annual get together. IMRG folks are rolling in from around the country. It's going to be 3-4 days of awesome riding and Indian Motorcycle riders taking over the city of Hot Springs! And that, sounds like an awesome time!
Why wouldn't folks roll in? In the month of August there is the IIRA's 
"Gathering" in Lebanon, Missouri which will be a great time for many. Other than that, this is THE event for folks that ride Indians for the rest of 2019. There are no other events! My thought is 'all' should book a room, register for the Saturday ride and head to the 'Springs! It's going to be ..... EPIC
