AMTA Article?

The majority of my USAF years were spent as an Airborne Maintenance Technician on Reconnaissance aircraft (RC-135s and C-130s). We have an organization that came together many moons ago that I joined around twenty years ago or so: AMTA . Somewhere along the line I did a Lifetime Membership, simply because I didn't want the hassle of annual dues and I was a believer in it and the funds are used for charity.  There is a quarterly paper that comes out ( Wirebender ) and they are always asking for members to contribute content.  Considered it a few times, but .... wasn't sure what content that would be.  Well, two days ago I saw the request and a light bulb popped up .... so ...   here we go.  May not make it to print with them, but ... hey .. I've got my own 'publication?' ________________________________ Joined the AMTA quite a few moons ago and sadly have only made two of the Reunions.   I’ve always meant to make more of them, but … life always seems to...

Son of a Bitch, that'll wake you and make you see stars ....  ....been almost two years to this date when I found myself in the hospital for 48 hours, leaving with an ICD in my chest (pacemaker version of sorts).  They told me if it ever happened again ....  I'd know it. If my heart took off racing again, it'd do it's job. Otherwise .. fine.  "You'll live another 35 years" .. blah blah ...  I love the guy, a no BS cool Puerto Rican.  Still, over the last two years, wondered if this thing even 'worked'.  Had an appointment with my heart doc last week and he looked at all the data and said my heart was out of rhythm twice in one day, a week before....  could even tell me the date.  I knew what day that was....  Otherwise, you are good.  "You'll live another 35 years" again is what he tells me. Last year leaving Daytona Bike week , riding home I had one of my ...moments.  Felt like I was going to pass out, doing 85mph on the Inte...

Cozumel - Airbnb trip : APR '22

Third Airbnb there since '19.  First one was a blast, on the ocean .  Second one was great, on the south side of downtown San Miguel .  This year's was awesome, on the north side, equal distant from the center of town compared to last years.  But this year's was 'different'.  Last years set things in motion to make it more of a family trip affair with close friends as well.  Pablo's dad was with us in Coz' last year but passed away recently so that threw us a curve ball. However, Lucy's brother and Suzie were able to make it this time. My baby girl was absent this trip, otherwise all the same folks.  What was different otherwise?  This years' home had several major differences. First, the pool was truly usable; it was larger and in a good location for sunshine, etc.  Secondly, the home was higher end; was previously owned by Cozumel's President. Yes .. it was NICE.  Third, we had a cook on hand every morning to cook us all breakfas...
