I've had some fun with this over the last year or so, mainly on a diff' blog I used posting daily pics, memes, zingers ... you name it .  Pick a time and place, have a great time .. and .. LTD!  Sometimes, just because....other times, to dig at others for a lil' fun.   But ....  all true .. all good.   I'm on the back end of this journey (my words once I went past age 50) and truly enjoying life; we all should shouldn't we?  Deep down, I've always had this attitude.... guess I just think about it more now than ever. What is living the dream though?   Found myself floating in the pool this past weekend day dreaming on this subject; overthinking it as I do many things. With my life experiences I can easily sum up what happiness means to me.  I believe its true of most of us at some level.   First, above ground financially.  I was going to say this differently but changed it multiple times to this verbiage.  What do I mean?  Simply, not in a bad place financially. 

 FU Ida Have to admit .. lil' bit of stress this weekend.  Last week, a disturbance quickly became a tropical storm.. then .. a Cat 1.  We now had Hurricane Ida headed towards the Gulf Coast and .. lets just say .. I have a lil' bit at risk here?  With a home in Galveston right on the beach and a home in Mississippi less than 1,000 ft from the beach ... I might have been puckering a lil? Galveston this morning ... FU Ida! :) It quickly became apparent the Galveston home was clear and thank you Lord for that!  After a storm last year, we and our neighbors had to rebuild our yards and dunes and it would have been disastrous at this point.  But now, our MS home in at risk.  Early tracks showed it potentially coming our direction and I have family living 5 miles west of my home also at risk.  As a Cat 1, they were predicting Cat 3 levels which would quickly change to Cat 4 then Cat 5!  Kicker is, this was on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina which as a Cat 3 and was catastr

 ....... closed the chapter on a multi year situation this week.  In conjunction, had a motorcycle newbie attempt to bust my balls with some BS asking why I don't promote rides, run events because I stated my opinion on a specific ride that ...myself and many others disagreed with ......My response was " I didn't say I PROMOTE ... I attend and support events .. I ride multiple brands. I don't have enough time in the week to ride all my bikes much less worry about other's riding. IIRA, IMRG, IOA and others have numerous events throughout the year. After a nauseating 3 years ... he finally got a few to show up. Looks like you all had a good time. .. I've known this guy longer than you've probably been riding... give it a rest"    Now .. the point of this post.   Life is Short. You've got to pick and choose. Me personally, I'm still working but one could argue I'm semi-retired I guess.  But still, I've got close friends th
