Overview
I created this Blog almost 15 years ago, for a place to post my notes, my thoughts, some of my dreams, some of my frustrations. Sort of a Public Diary. I created my first web page about thirty years ago and found that I liked telling a story, my story. Even acquired my own domain back around that time frame. I'm not a writer, just an average Joe. Except I've always enjoyed certain aspects of the Internet. IRC, mIRC and ICQ. Remember those? Yep, I dove right in. AOL had it's versions of communication. I learned HTML and created some pages. Then MySpace came along and I had to do that, then FB. Now, I friggn' hate FB, but it's a borderline necessity. Hell, "lost" my original profile several years back after being hacked by a POS from VietNam (yes I have the logs to prove it) and drudgingly .. created another that I use now. As I said .... I hate FB.
Creating this back in January of 2009, tried to use 'rickkcir' in the address but it was already taken. Probably should have used a dash or a space in there .... but tossed in another k in the mix and moved on. I admit for a split second thought "maybe that's not a good idea" but then remember thinking... who cares .. who'd notice? I never expected this blog to grow and continue as it has.... since then, I've had a single douche bag point that lil fact out ..... gone so far to as to create memes with KKK crap... even attempted to get me fired for it. Believe that shit? I've considered changing it, but it'd break all the links throughout this blog and others... so ... I've chosen to leave it. Now, you know the back story ... but.. bet you never noticed until I mentioned it here? One other thing. That address that was used already .. I'm pretty sure that was from me back in 2005 screwing around but for the life of me .. can't figure out how to log back in?
Back to my story ....when I found "Blogger" I tested the water. Slowly, just comments here and there, a blurb on this and a blurb on that. I'm inconsistent. All over the map sometimes But, it's gives me a medium that works for me. Hell, you're reading it now.
So, this is my go to place. Open to the Public. 100%. No filters, no lists, no setting of permissions. What you see is what you get. Not a huge following but recently passed the 200,000 mark with 'hits'. Never my intention to get a lot of hits, comments, readers or followers ... but do find it interesting. Comments rarely get made here on the blog, but I get lots of texts, calls and FB comments about my blog posts. Certain subjects caused major spikes in traffic. Over five years or so I quit posting crap here for the most part that had to do with an event up north I used to attend. In the decade I've had this, I've deleted (but still have copies of them) a butt load of comments that were derogatory in context with attacks bringing my family into it. My Blog . .. my choice to move off/delete, psychotic/racist comments put on it. Interestingly, they are from the same individual.
Lately, my secondary blog has gotten more of the traffic. That's where I try to keep most of the 'BS' nowadays. The subject of 'narcissism' intrigues me lately dealing with several whack jobs over the last few decades so sometimes posts on that subject show up. We've all got a 'dark' side and sometimes... that shows up there in memes, jokes and comments. Also, my 'pure honest' side shows up here sometimes, shooting from the hip. Lets just say .. shit is all over the map?
I've even created several others. One for my Biker escapades, one for the 2019 Guinness record ride and one for my gym time. I need a life, huh?

Welcome to RickkciR — My Rambling Corner of the Digital World
This blog has been around for years—not because I set out to be a “blogger,” but because I needed a place to think out loud, record life, and push back at the bullshit. It’s equal parts diary, commentary, travel log, motorcycle confessional, and occasional rant.
🧠What You’ll Find Here
Over time, posts have drifted across a few central themes. Here are what I call the pillars of RickkciR:
Theme | What It Covers | Why It Matters |
---|---|---|
Raw Truth / Context | I often post stories or reflections triggered by everyday events—military dinners, social interactions, personal stances. (See: “CONTEXT” posts) | Real life is messy. This space gives me license to strip away the veneer. |
Travel & Resort Reviews | Bits from trips—observations, surprises, what works, what bites. (Example: Secrets Maroma Beach Review) rickkkcir.blogspot.com | Because you deserve to know what you're really getting when someone markets paradise. |
Motorcycles, Jeeps & Gear | Tales of bike acquisitions, ride groups, and my Jeep obsession. (Ex: All In tackles this head-on.) rickkkcir.blogspot.com | It’s more than machines. It’s identity and passion. |
Personal / Biographical | How I got here—growing up, moving between places, military life, and the winding path in between. (See California Dreaming) rickkkcir.blogspot.com | To give you context for the voice behind the posts. |
Social & Political Commentary | I don’t shy away from politics, culture wars, or calling out hypocrisy. (Ex: Few more weeks to go ...) rickkkcir.blogspot.com | These are topics people whisper about. I choose to speak them. |
Reflection & Confession | Some posts are just me writing to clear my head: admissions, regrets, lessons, observations. | Because honesty—even when ugly—is something people connect with. |
What You Can Expect Going Forward
-
Unfiltered perspective. No PR filter, no attempt to be “safe.”
-
Posts that jump around—some days travel, other days politics, then motorcycles, then philosophy.
-
Stories from the road, confessions from life, and occasional rants when the world gets stupid.
-
Not a clean, curated “brand,” but something messier and more authentic.
A Note About the Name
Yes, you might have noticed the extra “k” in RickkciR. I nearly changed it—multiple times—but realized doing that would break links, memories, and the identity I’ve built here. So it stays. Over time, some people have tried to weaponize it with memes or jabs; I just took it as part of owning what I do. rickkkcir.blogspot.com
To Newcomers: What to Dive Into First
-
Start with “All In.” It’s one of the richer, longer posts where I unpack how I go full throttle into passions. rickkkcir.blogspot.com
-
Browse by tags or themes — “motorcycle,” “travel,” “politics,” etc.
-
Don’t expect polished essays. Expect raw edges, abrupt shifts, and honest voice. That’s the point.
If you like this direction, I can also produce a shorter “homepage trailer” — a few sentences that immediately grab a visitor’s attention. Do you want me to do that next?
........enjoy
