 Today was a great day!  Got some new ink, so up to 3 on the forearm.  While sitting there getting it done, already decided on 2 more .. maybe 3 .... on the backside of the forearm.  C-130 from the Panama days... maybe one from my Security Police days......  and .. ?   Hopefully, few weeks as soon as these heal up!

 Man ...   3 more sets of holes to go.    Got the Blue one yesterday .. its a size smaller.   I can alllmooooost get the first set of holes.   So obviously ...  before I 'ungrow' the brown one, I'll be smiling in the blue one... ... almost there.  Great workout today!

 .............. I need another bike like a need a hole in the head; at least that's the saying. Last few years I've been watching the Challenger options out there....  the Elites that come out every year.  The JD Versions.  Even looked at the Pursuit, but mama hates the tour packs so opted not to go that route, even though I could easily remove it.  I called Little Rock and asked if they had a '24 Elite.. but .. someone had their name on the 'list.' Was technically sold.   Only 325 made for the year.  Well, they put my name on the stby/wait list..but in the meantime ...  I was looking at several '22s they had new on the floor, at sale prices.  Longer I looked at this one, the more I liked it.  My '81 Suzuki GL1100 was this color...   but.. I normally don't have 'red' bikes.  Kept looking .. thinking .. dreaming.   Then asked folks what name I should call it.  After two days, someone said "Crimson" and Lucy said, with a "K!"

......something that always bugged me .. and I see it on on Social Media too often.    Emptied the closet of over a half dozen jeans that were almost new .. or .. new.  Crazy.  Be gone, 42s!   I'm thinking...  "hmmm... The drive up to the house will have you in awe.   Road is a little bit narrow and I was in a BIG SUV, so had me cautious.   Once you turn into the upper driveway, you’re smiling. But from the front entrance where one parks, the only real clue to what awaits you is the beautiful huge wooden front door.  Last few weeks have been BUSY!   Caged a few thousand miles...... done a lot of riding! Back in May I bought season tickets for the New Orleans Saints.   My nephew is a hard core fan as is much of the Gulf Coast where we have our second home.  Last year he got an email that he was finally eligible to purchase some season tickets after a ten year wait .. but he declined.  When I heard of that I busted his balls but he rightfully pointed out he wasn't in the current financial position to execute on them.  I gave him a lil shit like "too bad you don't know anyone that is?" ...  Well, this past May .. he got another email, forwarded it to me . and ... .here we are.  Probably not the smartest thing to do in my life, but ..... lets live it!  Got 4 season tickets for home games at the Superdome, lower section near the 45 yard line.  AWESOME seats with simple access to the concession stands (full bar directly behind us) and restrooms.  Over the years, I've wrote about Life Insurance several times.  My biggest pet peeve is that folks don't do the f'n minimal to take care of their loved ones if they die from an accident or natural causes.  Especially ... self induced accidents (ex. Motorcycle at high speed). But... something happened last week that got me to thinking about the other .. insurances. If you have a family ... people.... that depend on your income.. livelihood....   think about the options you NEED to have in place. Medical Insurance is the most obvious.  Most of us do.  If it's inadequate... or non-existent... FIX it.  I'm not an expert here, but the bottom line is ... if shit goes south, we find ourselves in a hospital for an extended stay .. and we have folks that depend on that paycheck of ours......   you'd better have a plan in place!!!!   I'm seeing a situation now that has me cringing.. shook to the core...   with a family .. a new born in the mix.. and the dad, is in a

 Well, that was a new adventure for me.   Wife and Daughter have done Palm Springs for girl weeks, but my first time here.  Needed a place to meet up with our daughter and her fiancée.  Needed  a place we could bring Peanut.  A place where they could bring their dogs.  Mama recommended Palm Springs, so I'm in!    One could probably argue it was the wrong time of the year... but... it worked! Twenty hour drive in Big'Un, with a stop near the NM/AZ border for the night and we're there!    Really wasn't too bad.  We drove to San Diego this past December and this was a notch shorter.   By the early afternoon of Day 2, we're rolling in an hour or so before my daughter got there.  Her fiancée would roll in later that evening.   We've prearranged for groceries to show up and hour after we do, so that evening, I've got the grill going and kicking out some juicy burgers.  Score!   Lil time around the pool, catching up .. and ....  Well .. .. two things on my schedule and I'm determined to make them both work.  By the time the weekend was over, melded a third in there... Dad and I have been trying to connect up for a few months but .. .life .. gets in the way. Or in our case, mother nature.  We had one of these getaways planned a few months back, but the skies opened up and weather got a lil crazy in his neck of the woods... so .. we postponed.  Well, we've got a CVMA event up in Northwest Arkansas .... so .. I head to Little Rock on Thursday, then Fort Smith on Friday .. home on Sunday.  The main twist is I'm on 2 wheels but .. my god its getting hot. By the time I get to Sulphur Springs I'm a little light headed riding next to a Semi at 80mph and lets just say ... it's not a comfortable feeling.  After another time this happens, I pull over to check my stats (HR, EKG, etc) and ... don't like what I see .  My heart isn't racing too fast but the pattern is a lil weird.  So ....  I mak

Few years ago, getting the annual eye checkup I was told I had a cataract in one eye, other one eventually.   Of course the first thing one thinks of is "I thought this was for old folks?"  Then you realize two things.  We are getting older and secondly I learn, 9 out of 10 of us by age 65, will have cataract issues. My dad a few years back (he's in his mid 80s) had both eyes with cataracts surgically removed and he was ecstatic.  He'd had glasses his entire adult life and now for the first time, his eye sight was great!   They put in new lenses and a lot of folk's problems are solved. Told me it was painless, etc so I had zero concerns going into this. Over the last two years I've had to wear my glasses at night while driving.  My depth perception has been affected and on a motorcycle at high rates of speed, it can fuck with you a lil bit.  Felt like I was losing my mojo riding, especially at night. Got to admit, I wanted to put a different spin on this one, on how it would all play out. I'm dragging ass.  I'm watching the weather and it's taken the air out of my sails.  Chief has been asking me to go up a day early with him, but I'd be home less than 18 hours and...  not an option.
