UVC Destination Options
Just saw something 'new' on this pull down.. so ..lets explore!! Of course, what I saw .. is 'no longer' there! What the F'? The Aluah Hotels & Resorts and the Independent properties..... dissappeared. Maybe they are doing some updates and they popped up too early?
Still, the list is somewhat overwhelming when one really looks at these. The Impressions and Secrets are 'all adult' , my fav. No kiddies running around. Sorry, I raised mine. But, some of the other resorts sometimes have 'adult only' pools and areas. And some have access to the Secrets next door if in Preferred room or have the benefits (ie most UVC members). My next goal is to create a List that shows which have Adult Only options
So many options, so little time. Why didn't I do all this twenty years ago??

🌟 1. Hyatt Ziva
Resorts (Points + Cash Eligible)
Both Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall are
bookable with:
- Full Points
- Cash
- Points + Cash (50% points +
50% standard cash rate).
Example Calculation – Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana
- Standard
redemption: 25,000 points (≈ $425 value at 1.7¢/pt).
- Cash rate
(avg): ~$550/night.
- Points + Cash: ~12,500 points
+ $275/night.
👉 Value per point
in this scenario = ($550 - $275) ÷ 12,500 = 2.2¢ per point 💎 (excellent redemption).
Example Calculation – Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall
- Standard
redemption: 20,000 points (≈ $340 value).
- Cash rate
(avg): ~$450/night.
- Points + Cash: ~10,000 points
+ $225/night.
👉 Value per point
= ($450 - $225) ÷ 10,000 = 2.25¢ per point 💎.
✅ Both Ziva resorts are some of the best
Hyatt redemptions globally when cash rates are high.

launch.

✅ Best use of points today:
Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana & Rose Hall (especially via Points + Cash).
❌ Cash-only for now: Dreams +
Secrets/Vivid combos, but worth tracking in case Hyatt makes them
point-eligible later.
🔢 How to Decide:
Points vs. Cash vs. Points+Cash
We’ll use Hyatt’s average point value = 1.7¢ as the benchmark.
Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana (Category C – ~25k points/night)
- Cash rate <
$425/night → 💵 Pay Cash
(cheaper than redeeming points).
- Cash rate
$425–$550/night → 🔄 Consider
Points+Cash (12.5k + $275).
- Cash rate >
$550/night → 💎 Redeem
Points (better value, >1.7¢ per point).
Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall (Category B – ~20k points/night)
- Cash rate <
$340/night → 💵 Pay Cash.
- Cash rate
$340–$450/night → 🔄 Points+Cash
(10k + $225).
- Cash rate >
$450/night → 💎 Redeem
Points.
🔍 Example Scenarios
- If Hyatt Ziva
Cap Cana is $600/night → points redemption (25k) gives ~2.4¢/pt → redeem
points.
- If Ziva Rose
Hall is $400/night → 20k pts = only 2.0¢/pt → Points+Cash
(10k + $225) is optimal.
- If Cap Cana is $300/night
(rare, off-season) → just pay cash.
