Airbnb, Secrets, and ........

Airbnb, Secrets, Motorcycles… Damn, We've Done Some Traveling! 🌎🏝️🏍️🍹

Yesterday, I got into a discussion about Airbnb after sharing a post about some of the changes they've been making, particularly with their fees. I've been aware of those changes for a while, but the conversation got me thinking.

So, I logged into my Airbnb account and started looking back through our travel history.

HOLY CRAP! We've done some traveling! 😂

Looking through all those reservations, I realized just how many trips we've taken over the years, staying in some pretty incredible homes and properties thanks to Airbnb and their hosts.

And here's the kicker… the list isn't even complete! At least two of our previous stays don't show up anymore because those properties are no longer part of Airbnb.

Naturally, that got me thinking it would be pretty cool to put together a collage of all those places we've stayed.

So, I did! 📸

But then my brain started wandering…

WAIT A MINUTE!

What about all our trips to the Secrets Resorts & Spas properties? We've been visiting those since 2014!

Well, hell, can't leave those out!

So, I made another collage! 🏝️🍹

And then it hit me…

Hold on! What about all those trips to Iberostar, Barceló, and RIU resorts that we started taking back in 2006? I've done other trips staying in homes down there via other routes, other folks.

That's another pile of vacations, resorts, beaches, pools, and probably enough tequila to float a small boat! 🍹😂

And THEN…

WAIT! WHAT ABOUT THE MOTORCYCLE TRIPS?! 🏍️🇺🇸

We've been riding all over the country on motorcycle adventures since 2009! Thousands upon thousands of miles, countless destinations, rallies, incredible roads, great friends, and memories that could fill a book.

Oh, for crying out loud…

HAHAHAHA! OKAY, ENOUGH OF THAT SHIT! 🤣

What started as a simple conversation about Airbnb fees has turned into a trip down memory lane spanning nearly 20 YEARS of vacations and adventures!   That's just these 3 groups.  What about all the NASCAR Trips?  Cruises over the last 22 years?  Family trips?  The list goes on and on.  Lets just say ...   been a lil busy.

And you know what?

I wouldn't trade a single one of those memories.

The places we've been, the people we've met, the friendships we've made, and the experiences we've shared are worth far more than anything sitting in a bank account.

Money can always be made again. Time? Not so much.

So, for now, I'm sharing these two collages highlighting our Airbnb adventures and our visits to Secrets Resorts.

Maybe I'll come back and update this post with the other resorts and motorcycle adventures.

Or maybe I'll just say screw it, pack another suitcase, throw a leg over the motorcycle, and go make some MORE memories! 😎🏍️🌴

Because at the end of the day, life isn't about how much stuff you've accumulated… it's about how much LIFE you've actually LIVED!

And we're not done yet! 🍻
