Last week, I wrote about how I'd left the IARG . Now, I've never been active ( but was current with dues ) in the group, but have been 'close' to it , knowing the Founder , current Prez and VP, and have been to the Bike Week that's apparently tied to it at the hip for five years and counting. ... even considered someway , somehow , being more active in it in the future... but...
Over the years, my biggest complaint was the IARG FB Group , had .... almost nothing to do with the actual chapter itself. Instead , it was used to promote the dealership... the annual charity ride .. and now bike week. Over the last year , I've seen it lower itself becoming.... in my own words... 'just another FB Group " as well. Over 2,000 people in it, many don't care to do anything but advertise their own merchandise, pull off bike parts , or just BS about subjects that have zero .... ZERO .. to do with the IARG chapter itself.
A quick scan today reveals I made the right decision. They had a 'big' meeting over a week ago, that resulted in the President of the chapter resigning. Those same issues resulted in the VP resigning. Rumor has it , that of the 22 or so people that voted ( of whom not all were eligible ) , many didn't realize the cause/effects , of what they actually voted for. And, what about the other 70 or so active members.... they weren't told of the vote so they could participate, or the results of the vote.... why? Agendas. Why am I even writing this... because.. it's like the Twilight Zone . Not a mention of ANY of it, in the chapters main IARG FB group. Zilch .. nada.... nothing. Life goes on..... ( twilight zone music in the background)
Yep... I made the right decision....

Dude is his own worst enemy. .....Marketing flyer to riders about a December 2016 MUST ATTEND MEETING SALE half assed taped right on the front door......Stay Classy Art !
On the IARG subject, All I've ever pointed out , and correctly and rightfully so, that the IARG was always just an extension of the IMTC. Nothing wrong with that, just be up front and honest about it. That's all the IARG comments from me have ever been about. Now, that the whole thing has imploded, the founder finally admits it publicly. It can't and won't stand on its on... it's basically a sales and marketing tool for the dealership.
All good.... IMRG isn't much different if you really think about it...
