Topless Weekend!

Image
Noooooo .....  a JEEP Topless Weekend. Pull your mind out of the gutter! We'd talked about doing this for a few years now, and last year locked in for '18  being a done deal!   My nephew rolled in from Mississippi with his lady, and we were supposed to have a small group of others, but as it got closer, the pussy's dropped off one by one.   All good .. .  my nephew and I had some quality time.. a great time!  And we FINALLY, got this one in the record books! How was it?  Epic, Great event.  Will I do another one?  Probably not.  Why?   Well.. good question ..... This was advertised as a Jeep Top Off Weekend to kick off the summer.  They do this annually, at various locations around the country.  I've owned Jeeps off and on for about 30 years, but have never attended a 'jeep fest' so to speak.  You know, sort of like a Bike Rally ... I was truly looking forward to it. ...

Shaking mad....

... that I allowed this to happen.  I'm literally shaking as I'm typing .. not from emotions.. but , crazy out of breath. Been back in the gym now for two weeks and this new piece of equipment is torturing me.   Takes you into a 14 minute hell.. I mean workout.... except on Level, I can't even  finish the 14 minutes!  In that 14 minutes, there are 8 intervals...a 25 second go crazy period and an 80 second recovery period.. then again .. and again ..and again.  The first week, I couldn't get past two intervals.  I'd drag myself over to a flat bench and do crunches while I attempted to get my lungs in check, again.   Last week... made it to interval 3 .. then ..4.  Today,  made it to 5 ...   then wimped out.  I hope to get through the sixth tomorrow.   And this is Level 1. It has 11 levels and 20 programs.. and I'm stuck in pussy mode.   But...another week or two .. I'll finish.  I know my body ...

FB Break

Five days ago, pulled the plug.   Mama' and I had discussed it a lil while doing some hot tub time ...  she'd deactivated her account a few days previously unknown to me... and ...  urged me to .. 'try it for five days' ..  You know what ..   I enjoyed the time off.   Still, the first two days were like one probably having to quit a drug habit.  This crap has become ingrained in my daily habits.  By Wed, no big deal.  Still, I found myself wondering what I must be missing. Nothing of course.  I do enjoy connecting up with a lot of folks from coast to coast, border to border.  And I missed that part...  but not the other BS that sometimes finds it's way into our life.  I made an extra effort to firewall myself from the ongoing crap that is well.. still going on .. that I've wrote about in the past.  Lil' crazy you have to insulate oneself ...but .. it's done. Moving forward, I'm going to create a t...

Amenities in the motorcycle world: Spoiled

Image
Yesterday, Jimbo' stopped by to pick a few things up, and as usual in a spontaneous moment we decide to go for a quick ride.  I'd just gotten Krome delivered , finished washing mama's Porsche, and it's 1100 hrs ; sunny and warm!  So, put Krome away and  .....  the BDM Ridgeback i s back in the corner, dusty, on the charger....  begging to be ridden.  Move a bike out of the way, unplug, slap the seat on , roll it back through the maze and fire the bastard up.  It's got a carb and she's barking at me with the choke on... few back fires... calms down.. over to the hose to rinse it off. One thing about owning diff' types of bikes is it, in my opinion, makes one a better rider overall.  However, jumping from  Touring bike to cruiser to sport bike to chopper ...   causes an issue that takes about 15-30 minutes every time I do it.. you've got to reacquaint yourself with the bike.  Turn radius, turn signal locations, foot position....
