Guinness 275
I've been outspoken on this subject previously for personal reasons.
The 3rd 'attempt' is coming in May 2018 to Branson. I participated in the first; wasn't impressed. But, it fires up a lot of folks and most everyone got into it. As I said before, it might impress me if it was a longer ride. But, in all fairness the record isn't for 'longest ride' or " ride participants'. It's for .... 'most bikes in a parade'. So, that parade part dictates the process, which means just 2 miles or so, on a public road, etc. Lots of witnesses, pictures, videos, etc.
Well, the first, after a FULL YEAR of post after post after post .... pushing to get warm bodies and bikes... was something like 265. Earlier this year after another ridiculous amount of effort on Social Media... a whopping 274 (insert sarcasm here) barely showed up. Now, a new group is shooting for ... 275. I'm guessing (hoping) they won't be pushing the agenda like the previous. I'm betting they'll knock it out of the park for various reasons.. anyone that has been to IRIP knows what I mean...
What caught my attention were a few comments about it, and had me snickering ........
I'd actually head to Branson to participate if I was going to be in the area, but I've got other plans that week. Still.... 275.. I'm guessing the annual IMRG JD ride has that many. I'm guessing over the years, well more than that have ridden together. But, nobody verified it all , for a record. Still...275? Man .. Shoot for 502... 750.. 1000. Didn't stop the previous attempts from having silly goals and titles attached to it :)

- " Records are made to be broken!! & Competition makes the world go round!!"
- "Just to clarify Just to clarify - Is this for 275 Indian Riders - Or the most Indian Riders over 275lbs...?"
- "is that goofy guy with the counter in his hand in the bike week video going to be there 2 from Minnesota ?"
- " no celebrities, no outrageous price gouging, no outlandish Guinness officials clicking. You are the celebrity...."
