Hurricane Laura ...   what a potential nightmare.   For days, they've been forecasting Marco and Laura coinciding close to Galveston giving story after story how bad it was going to be if/when they collided.  Then Marco hit first,  and Laura was still down by Cuba, Marco died off .. and ...  then Laura picked up steam.  Now the next story was this was potentially a category 5 Hurricane and headed towards Galveston.  Read it could be worse than the Hurricane of 1900 where 6,000 + lives were lost and it changed the Island forever.   Well, nothing I could do but sit back and watch.  We have two homes on the Island, have insurance of course.... so what are you going to do?  We joked between ourselves more than once that if either got major damage,  we hoped it just .. ... Well, as you probably figured out.. this is related mainly to the motorcycle world.  I guess it could also apply to car clubs, gun clubs .. hell .. a loose knit bunch of buddies.. but ...  the motorcycle world is what's in my brain as I type this. Many of us in the motorcycle world wear vests (or .. substitute jacket as necessary).  Those that ride HDs and Indians tend to.  Just a fact; look around.  I know .. some people want to beat their chest and say "I don't wear that shit!" .. or .. "I'm a lone wolf!" or.  "FTW!"   Whatever.  Head to a bike rally with a butt load of bikes and most men and women have a vest on. Now, this could be their personal landing zone for every known patch and pin out there and it now weighs triple what it did new .... or ...  in a few cases.. as plain as the day it was purchased.  But for most, it now has patches on it that tie to the manufacturer of their ride.  Maybe a back patch that ties to a ri...

I'm bored.   Got all my work done.  Tree cutting crew finally left.  Septic guy finished and left.  Nothing but sunshine and it's not a baker (less than 90 deg out).  So, here I am listening to country music, swimming laps, sippn' some Vodka . and.. .'bored'.  Now you are victim to it since you just saw this posts.... whoops ;)    About the time I decided to get out, mama jumped in the pool after all her chores.  Crap.... freshened up my drink and jumped in for another few hours!  They struggle is real?

 Well, didn't see that coming.     Back in late Jan / early Feb we took a cruise out of FL .  That was the beginning of the Wuhan Virus shit.   As we boarded, they asked us questions.  As we left the ship, they asked us questions.  Two other cruise ships were in a quandary due to it all; we made it out with zero issues Next up .. Nashville!   We're meeting up with the Dittels and Donihues in Hot Springs and headed out .. but... not to be.  Wuhan crap is accelerating and they shut down the town. So, we all headed to Galveston for an incredible crazy week of fun .  Everyone in society seemed was losing their minds over COVID... but .. .we hit the liquor stores and grocery stores and kicked it up hard for a week.   Rick had dealt with some issues after the cruise ..
