We were supposed to head down later this week, but due to some health issues with my G' Nephew, we bumped it up. I had to do some cancellations on some bike related stuff, but this went to to the top of our priority list. Ten days ago, we jumped into the main travel rig and headed South! By 1345 hrs, I was
sitting on the back deck, enjoying the view and checking out the tourists on the beach. Less than 15 minutes later I was into a can of OPB. Less than 90 minutes later, all umbrellas were setup, furniture / cushions in place, house has sunshine in through the windows and we're on the back porch sippn' Vino'. The week on the Island, has officially begun!

Our family is rolling in from Nebraska and doing an all nighter driving straight through. Somewhere around 0230 hrs they roll in, and crawl into bed. They've arrived! When the sun pops up a few stragglers begin to make their way out. Brutal drive ( 16 hours?) but they are here now and it's Family Time! We've got the area setup and now its just a matter of time for everyone to get in their groove.

We'll have a daily ritual of sorts for the next seven days. I've already been out for the breakfast burritos and have an ample supply of zing zang. It's vaca time. We'll pop up the 10x10 on the beach every day with the loungers and chairs. Even after over 20 years of these trips, it never gets 'old' to me. Just fine tune it each time, with lessons learned.

soon wake up and it's Thursday and folks are prepping to head out. Crazy how time flies. We'd only get out to a restaurant 'once' (The Spot!), but allowed us to stay home and have some quality time with Braxton. Soon, they are headed home with another 15 hour straight through ride. Hell, hard to believe that was almost a week ago. We rolled back up to Greenville yesterday after delaying our return one day .. then two.. finally three. Time to get back to reality. Well.. for a few weeks. A trip with the Farley's is on our radar .... don't blink!
