2020 .. what a friggn' crazy year. Had to canx a Fl Trip. Made it on the Motorcycle Cruise, but then had to canx an Arizona trip. Then canceled a dive trip in Cozumel. Fast forward to 'now'. We had plans to be down in Mississippi on the Gulf Coast at a Jeep Event (rescheduled to next month..whew!), but thanks to the Wuhan Virus BS, that changed. So, I looked at bringing my bride back down to Mexico at an All Inclusive Resort, but our favorites are still closed. So, we headed to one our favorite go-to spots that we frequent; The Island of Galveston!

Two weeks ago, I had a lil scare with the ol ticker, so a few family members wanted to join us. My daughter flew in from SoCal. Nephew and Beth, drove in from Mississippi. Niece and Coty rolled in for a few days. Spent some time with Jonathon at Pointe West as well as the home. Lets just say, it was an awesome and memorable week.

The only twist to it all was it was Memorial Weekend. The Island was chaotic and busy! While much of the rest of the country is closed down, Texas is open for business. Now, there are a few stipulations, but none of them affected us. We chose restaurants with open air seating. Bars with open air seating. Did a lot of grilling. Lot of time on the beach. Lot of time just soaking in the sun on the back deck. In retrospect, I'm glad the AI's were closed the way this all turned out. Woke up to 70 deg mornings and enjoyed sunny days in the mid 80s. They only negative was folks had to head home and .... I refrained from doing a lot of swimming in the ocean due to some incisions that were still healing up.

Too soon, my niece and Coty were headed home. Following day, Beth headed back to MS. We're now down to 4, but time is moving slowly. Sadly, after a full week, it was time to head to the Airport to drop off Paul and Jess. Airport was busy and people are in full travel mode. Then back to the Island for another two days of alone time, with mama.

Our 33rd was a success. Maybe next year, we head to the AI. ......maybe
